West Media = Distortion + Propaganda
Remember the Australian tourist Mike Smith who escaped the violent riot in March as reported widely in the west? If you look into Mike Smiths background, he is far from an innocent tourist, and you can find that he is a activist heavily involved in the Free Tibet Campaign as early as April 2003. So why did the west media call him a tourist and conveniently omitted his close connection with Free Tibet?

Because had the west be truthful about this mans true identity and motives, then the true values of this news would become apparent that:
1.Free Tibet knew about this violent riot all along, and they even sent their people before hand to record the event;
2.Even with all these careful planning ahead, even a hard-core Free Tibet activist like Mike Smith had failed to capture any reliable evidence for the so called Chinas brutal crack down on rioters.

Tibet before the Chinese was rampant with backward peasantry, middle age political mentality, slavery and torture.
The Chinese, as bad as they were/are/will be with their communist ideology, modernized the country, suppressed serfdom and slavery, allocated lands, brought electricity and running water to a country that needed such commodities.
Tibet wasn't exactly a buddhist paradise as the media wants you to believe!

nowhere on earth you can go wasnt at some point ocupied by another group of people and then taken over by the current group living there, we took the natives land like the romans took peoples land and many others have before them, and not to mention without the money the government gives natives half of them would be homeless. I do agree that america/canada and other countries should go in and help tibet (beat the fuck out of china) |
