Yes, we all picked up on the judges, audience, viewers at home reactions, so Paul must have also.
Paul in his cheap suit, its all he could afford due to long illness which made him accumilate large debt, the horrendous bullying at school his soul must have been like paper, he must have been thinking that here is another kick in teeth. Yes, his teeth also due to accident.
Paul could not have know what he would cause worldwide a few minutes later.

Well, I have to echo the sentiments of the last commentor - if the bullies ever heard his voice and continued to bully him, then they HAD to be jealous. I think Paul is an absolute TREASURE to be savored by the operatic world...he's humble, and if he's THIS GOOD at this age, we may well have a superstar on our hands in the future! TRULY AMAZING....and I LOVE seeing these judges speechless and the audience on their feet for this humble but fantasticly TALENTED man!!!

i think being bullied was also one of the reasons why paul potts was able to sing with so much emotion and great depth...
his eyes look sad... my heart goes out to him... what a great voice! |
