Uh, no. Nu metal has nothing to do with computer sounds. You're thinking of electronica or synth pop, something out of the 80s. Nu metal is Slipknot, Korn, Disturbed, etc. It isn't an insult. It is a genre definition. Slipknot has obviously changed their sound; they went from your run of the mill nu metal band to an honest (nearly) metal band.

god dammit the clue is in the name! lol nu, it means 'neo' or new. nu-metal is exactly as is sounds. a new, unique type of metal, how many bands sounded like slipknot before slipknot came out, not many, because they are nu-metal lol and i can't see why thats so bad tbh.

what i'm saying is your a douche... nu metal is were the band rely's mostly on the singer, while putting in computer sounds and shit like that... like most of slipknots older shit, but with all the solo's and whatnot of their new stuff, they really cant be called nu metal, and disturbed, well, that coment was just stupid, their old shit is nu metal... not their newest, get it right man
