ya so the e-cars are WAy better then gas, but u could just walk some were, i treid it to day, itwas really cool, i saw a tree!! OMFG A TREE oh yeah, um the ecars are great, but arnt we trying to cut down the amount of engery we use? i mean, all this stuff is not balanced. we dont wanna use electricity, but we need e-cars...so smart...any one want a hydrogen car? lets see I DO no why? they go faster, and the crap it poops out is CLEAN WATER,...........get one of others instead.

It is better. It will save alot of things. We cant do anything eles. Unless some one collects batteries and makes stuff out of it, That would be usefull.

Touche. I keep forgetting that batteries are recyclable. I should really gtfo the 90s, lol. I can't wait for the bubble to break and the technology to boom. Right now, they're kinda useless for long trips, and most aren't really ready for freeways yet... but hopefully in maybe 5 years tops we'll have electric cars that run just as well as our current gas-powered ones.

wardirch, of course electric cars use rechargeable batteries so they'll last years before they need to be changed. Then most rechargeables are also recyclable. Since most people probably won't be able to do it at home the pros will handle it, and they will be in a better position to recycle them. Perhaps a required trade-in when they get the replacement.
The good news about electrics is they far simpler mechanically and far higher efficiency than gas or diesel. The bad news is the battery.
