I know; I wonder if Kristie ever used to look at her mum and worry if she was going to have a genetic proclivity towards obesity too???You tend to inherit your parents' body type, so Kristie must have been terrified out of her wits, no wonder she embarked on extreme diets. The thought of turning into her mother must have been very disturbing for the poor girl.

A real bummer for Kristie; puberty hit in Olympic Year and decimated her Olympic Dream. Very sad, she seems like a really lovely person, from what I have seen of her in interviews and coaching at her gym.
