You are so right. Especially captain Yonoi's make up. I think the make up artist tried to make Sakamoto looked very oriental (which is so unnecessary. That guy is an oriental guy with oriental look)

No. You may as well criticise the scene of Bowie portraying his characters life prior to his military service - as a senior school student. It was a movie, not a documentary.

Does anyone else think the heavy handed makeup job on some of the main actors detracts from the realism a touch? Just wondering if anyone else was noticing that! Awesome film and Awesome music.. God Bless everyone
