I'm a female debater, and I've noticed a similar effect. I don't like the idea of being given special treatment. I've found that one of the best ways to prevent it is to be a bitch to the person you will face prior to the debate. Polarize them against you. If they dislike you enough, any attractive physical characteristics you have will (hopefully) become transparent to them.

So true. Women win far too many arguments simply because of their mammary glands. Of course, sometimes we let them "win" so we can have sex with them, but everybody knows that. In my experience, kids on debate team were not that popular, maybe it was different at your school. Peace out.
