kurt did try to kill himself on stage. over in europe he climbed a stack of amps and freaked out and had to be helped down. theres an interview about it in heavier than heaven

Nirvana was not the first emo band. Rites of Spring preceded Nirvana by a few years. Also, Kurt never tried to kill himself on stage. That claim is ridiculously false. And a lot of the lyrics were about being sad or alone, but that's what he felt. Would you rather music be dishonest?
