SO SO AWESOME ALL THE SONGS
Sincer1987 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
The day too came to an end; might I return?
Six P.M., and its all far-off!
This I begged of someone;
Break the cycle of blood and seasons!
The ways and means are unknown
Symbols are unneeded
If you engage the darkness with a smile
You can light the way to a rebirth
Sincer1987 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
The answers are unknown
The canon is unneeded
My walking feet, thats what I understand, you know?
The morning grounds rumbling will bring a revelation, I expect
Idly, lie down the river surfaces gloom
If the sky turns boiling red
I will cast my tears down there
Sincer1987 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Footsteps
Beating against the window, the sky
Cracks as if to sneer
If dirty glasses are tinted green
My laughter will sound with the footfalls
Just like that, it is gone
Thats how it is
All of ones existence, shattered!
If I carry on the bygone clouds will go
I whistle with abandon

Okay, I have taken a stab at a translation. I only started studying Japanese about four months ago, so there are probably some mistakes. And I am not a great poet or lyricist so there will be much beauty lost in the translation. So if anyone out there more knowledgeable in Japanese has suggestions or sees errors, please do point them out. I hope this helps people enjoy the song more. I am even more enamored with Eastern Youth, especially this song, now that I understand the amazing lyrics.

the song titles on "What can you see from your place?" are in english, but none on this album are translated..literally, kakato means "heel" and naru in this case means "sound" so..sound of heels? but there sound be a "no" particle to indicate the of..so it reads "heel sound"..obviously something is lost in translation there. so i guess it means like, the sound of..feet? implying people passing? somthing like that. again its hard to translate

Agreed... I wish I could get the mp3 of this version. |
