Actually no I cannot actually understand ALOT of what is spoken but I know a few random japanese phrases and words, you can tell alot about what is happening by what u read in the manga or saw in the show. BUT the h game moves away from the anime and manga alot but some scenes sync up to both of them. You can also get the feel of whats happening by their actions and the basic context of the setting. TO play you just pick the options as they come, theres a guide I have for different endings.

Manga was AFTER game, which was first. Folks, the manga run began in 2006, and it's a 2005 game. The eroge was the first School Days story.
