i agree with u, deep purple is and was a popular band and di a lot to influence other rock bands who came later on, and bands like acdc are very, very over-rated.

I believe i read somewhere that Ian Gillan hated it when the security was really tight,so he might have been hitting a security guard messing with the crowd.I also remember reading somewhere that he threw a beer bottle at a guard and was arrested.Although you shouldn't quote me on that,because i'm not sure if it's accurate information.
