Jimmy Snuka was the first ECW Heavyweight Champion (when ECW was in the NWA and it was called Eastern Championship Wrestling) but Shane Douglas had 4 ECW Heavyweight championship reigns for nearly 900 days combined... so, "The Franchise" Shane Douglas is the greatest wrestler in ECW's history.

I dont know about overrated. Shane could of been one of the greatest but ECW was to small to get to that level, WCW was closing shop when he was there so he had nowhere to go there. and WWF (at the time) gave him one of the worst gimmicks ever and Shawn Michaels (along with his kliq) did not like him at all. so he was no really given any chance to get over except in ECW. Shane could of def. been one of the greats

It's funny to me that Shane Douglas is telling Paul Heyman, Dixie Carter, Jim Cornette, Vince McMahon, Jeff Jarrett, or anyone who has or had any talent or political stroke in this business that he should have been right up there with Shawn Michaels, Ray Stevens, and Ric Flair as the best workers in this business and many big events did he sell out? How many arenas/stadiums did he sell out? I don't know Shane the person, but Shane the wrestler overrated.
