House rabbits live inside a house, as opposed to a hutch outside.
House rabbits are not exposed to environmental extremes (very hot or very cold weather). Rabbits like the same temperatures as humans do. If you're uncomfortably hot or cold, your rabbit probably is too. Rabbits can die of heat stroke in temperatures over 80 degrees. It's safer and less stressful for the rabbit to live indoors in a "bunny proofed" house.
