This song and video is about spreading your wings as the "little bird" does and go out into the world to be whomever or whatever you want to be. Other people constantly tell you what they expect of you without taking what you want into consideration. That's why she is so many various characters in the song....showing potential to be anything she's dreamed of being. This song has always been one of my Annie Lennox faves.
