Problems with high notes Mr Torbey! Where are the high Fs? And even the high Ds are not that good.....

A very fine performance, not flawless, some fade on the lowest notes (I'm comparing with Sam Ramey as he sang it 20 years ago), but impressive agility, line, breath control. Where is he from?

ok. good voice, but i think he must give more colore in the high notes. they look like sing in a sort of falsetto.....

You think this is an easy aria? My compliments. Please post a video of yourself singing this "easy aria".

Voltape, I understand what you're saying. Juan Diego's voice is exquisite, I can't imagine what it must be like hearing him in his native language and being unmoved, his albums, "The Tenor", "Sentimiento Latino" "Una Furtiva Lagrima" are awe inspiring. His "Qui Tollis" (Verdi) never fails to move me. He has such range, from pupular to classical,.
And his Peruvian National Anthem, WOW! Oh Shadi, sing opposite Juan Diego and the result would be breathtaking. |
