Excuses excuses. He claims to have "no excuses", then he makes excuses. Even when fighters have broken hands, or with Paulie Malignaggi, a broken orbital bone on his face, they made no excuses. The fact is, hopkins circled away from Pavlik's right cross, and never let him plant his feet to throw heavy shots. Hopkins is a more skilled pugalist, and it just seems fighters with a high work rate like Taylor or Calzaghe don't suit his style, that's all. Winky Wright will kill calzaghe.

Pavlik is a good boxer, lets stop comparing the guy before he gets in the ring to anyone elses punching power. His power seems to be there and hes precise with where he lands it.

Pavich (sp???) lost heavily to hopkins thus is irrelevant... also pointless hopkins fighting Calzaghe again as he will only lose yet again.. plus hopkins fights scared and hides when hes up against a superior opponent as was the case vs Calzaghe So..with pavich gettin owned by hopkins and now a non-entity.. and with there being no need to beat up hopkins again.. its time for Joe Calzaghe to retire at 37 as although he has superior skills to anyone hes faced, he no longer has the power flurrys

He didnt lose to Hopkins. He lost to the flu. Kelly is a much better fighter than Hopkins,.
