Aberdeen won the European Cup Winners Cup and European Super Cup in 1983, hence the two stars above the badge. However, when Aberdeen play in UEFA Cup Competitions, they don't have the two stars above the badge as UEFA only allow teams who have won the European Cup/Champions League to wear stars.
